The staff of the University Assessment Office is committed to sharing information and expertise about assessment-related activities and resources with the campus community. The UAO newsletter is currently being redesigned, will be published bi-annually and made available in PDF format on the UAO Web site.
The Fall 2005 issue will re-introduce the campus community to the University Assessment Office and the many services and activities we provide. Following the Fall 2005 issue, future publications will be devoted to providing updates and reports on various assessment projects across campus. In addition, the UAO newsletter will feature information from the Assessment Advisory Council, best practices regarding assessing student learning and development, and information regarding upcoming conferences and workshops.
Beginning with the Spring 2006 issue, faculty, staff, and students are invited and encouraged to submit feature articles or information items for publication. Submissions should be sent electronically to uao@ilstu.edu. Deadlines for the bi-annual publication will be announced in our upcoming Fall 2005 issue of the UAO Newsletter.
