Overview

Assessment Plans at ISU

As previously discussed, PRAAP is the main vehicle through which assessment plans are reviewed during a program review process.  Members of the AAC and the UAO staff use the assessment plan rubric and feedback form to provide guidance and support to programs engaging in the assessment planning process.  The assessment plan rubric outlines the basic aspects of an effective assessment plan.

Key aspects of an effective assessment plan at ISU include:

  • Goals and outcomes for student learning
  • Indirect and direct assessment methods
  • Feedback from key stakeholders
  • Plans for using assessment results  (closing the loop)

Another helpful document is the Assessment Plan Worksheet.   This document outlines key parts of an assessment plan in a clear table and can be used as an assessment plan. (This is the document you should have open in a separate window).
